Lessard Coutu
The Story Continues
Every family has its own language.
The names. The sayings. The people everyone remembers. The places that feel like home. The hardships survived together. The small rituals no outsider would understand.
We turn those details into jewellery—new heirlooms that carry your family’s identity from one generation to the next.
A row of birthstones may represent the members of a family.
But it does not yet tell us who that family is.
That is the distinction. Lessard Coutu is not merely placing six stones into a pendant. You are discovering why these six people belong together and giving that relationship a design language.
A Lessard Coutu Concept
A private design experience through which your family’s names, history, handwriting, heirlooms, symbols and stories are translated into a growing collection of jewellery.
A client could begin with a family ring, return for a daughter’s pendant, add a piece for a new child, redesign a grandmother’s jewellery and eventually commission pieces for the next generation. That is a lifelong relationship.
Where do you see yourself?
Pieces honouring children, marriage, parenthood and the life you have created together.
Jewellery inspired by parents, grandparents, ancestry, traditions and the people whose love shaped your life.
Handwriting, inherited stones and familiar symbols preserved in a piece that can remain close.
New heirlooms designed with the intention that one day, someone you love will inherit them.

Who belongs in the piece?
What should the jewellery carry?
The Process
01
We begin with the people, history and meaning behind the piece.
02
We gather names, handwriting, heirlooms, symbols, stones and stories that may inform the design.
03
Your family’s identity is translated through preliminary ideas and original hand sketches.
04
The piece is modelled, crafted, set and finished by our jewellery team.
05
Design records are retained so future pieces can continue the collection.
Real Families, Real Transformations
Story → Thought → Design → Creation
A gallery of beautiful rings says you are skilled. A gallery of story-to-design transformations proves that you are different.
The client said
“She wrote 'see you tonight' in every card she left us.”
We discovered
The handwriting was the ritual, not the words. Seeing her script was how the family still felt her presence.
The design became
Her exact handwriting engraved inside a band, invisible to everyone but the wearer.
The client said
“Six siblings. One grandmother's ring.”
We discovered
Dividing the ring would diminish it. Preserving it together would honour her and the family she built.
The design became
Six connected pieces, each carrying a stone from the original ring, designed to be reunited or worn apart.
The client said
“We wanted something for our firstborn.”
We discovered
The piece should grow with the family, not just celebrate one moment in time.
The design became
A pendant with a hidden compartment, designed to hold future additions as the family grows.
Questions You May Have
I don't know where to begin.
Begin with whatever feels most meaningful. A name, a stone, a handwritten note, a story. We will guide the rest.
Can you use jewellery we already have?
Often, yes. We can assess what should be preserved, reset, redesigned or combined into something new.
Is this only for major pieces?
Not at all. Family jewellery can begin with a simple band or pendant and grow over time.
We want to involve the whole family.
We welcome it. Many of our most meaningful pieces were designed collaboratively by multiple family members.
The handwriting, stories, expressions and details that feel ordinary today may become priceless to the next generation.
