A Lessard Coutu buying guide
Custom Ring, Setting or Collection: Where to Begin
You do not have to know the finished ring before you begin. You only need a useful starting point. At Lessard Coutu, there are three: the person, the setting or a design that already speaks to you.
Begin with the person: the Engagement Ring Atelier
Choose this route when you have a story, a feeling or an idea that you want the ring to carry. You may have reference photographs, a few details that matter, or no clear picture yet. The useful information is often personal: what your partner wears, what they notice and what you want to say.
The design develops through conversation, a hand sketch and a technical 3D model before the approved ring is made. Discuss the scope, budget and approval points with the atelier before committing.
Enter the Engagement Ring AtelierBegin with a setting: choose the diamond next
Choose this route when you want to compare ring designs and then explore a centre diamond. The settings catalogue shows videos and setting prices in Canadian dollars. Open a setting and select Add Diamond to explore the next step.
The setting price and diamond price are separate. Before completing your ring, confirm the chosen stone's compatibility, the metal, ring size and final specifications. If you are unsure which stone suits a design, ask the atelier for guidance.
Explore engagement ring settingsBegin with a collection design
Choose this route when a particular ring's character or story catches your attention. The collection pairs each design with its inspiration, video and starting price. It can help you name what you love about a ring before discussing the finer details.
Open the design and choose Begin Your Commission to contact the atelier. Ask what the starting price includes and how your chosen specifications affect the quote. A design can give the conversation direction without answering every question in advance.
Discover the engagement ring collectionBring three things to the conversation
Bring a budget you are comfortable discussing, the date you are working toward and a few clues about your partner's style. If you have reference images, explain what you like in each: the outline, the proportions or a particular detail. You do not need to like every part of the reference.
If you are planning from another province, tell us where you are. Confirm consultation arrangements, sizing, approvals, delivery and aftercare before placing an order. Our atelier is in St. Catharines, Ontario; ask us to explain how your particular commission would work from your location.
Choose the starting point that feels natural
Some people arrive with a story and discover the design through conversation. Others recognise a setting or collection design immediately. All three can be meaningful ways to begin. Choose the route that helps you explain what matters, and let the next decision follow from there.
